Finn Wool Products
The Fiberarts community of spinners, felters, knitters and weavers have long been attracted to Finn wool for it's softness and luster. Especially popular with felters, Finn fleece bonds quickly to form three-dimensional garments and accessories. Knitted Finn wool garments are both soft and very durable. These pumpkins were made as a Thanksgiving centerpiece. White wool was dyed orange, carded into flat sheets, and then felted between layers of bubble wrap with lots of soap and hot water. Smaller amounts of green wool were then felted into shapes to form the stems and leaves. Pumpkins were then stuffed with left over wool, tied with yellow handspun yarn, and decorated with greenery!
This hat was made from handspun natural colored Finnwool. In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in spinning and knitting. Those wanting to recreate traditional ethnic and historical garments are seeking out materials to meet their needs.
